Welcome Home Elder Marsh

Well it has been a while since we have had access to the Internet so we obviously have not been able to blog and a lot has happened since our last posting but we will just pick back up with one of our favorite happenings over the last month or so. On October 21st Rob's little Brother Richard came home from his mission. He was serving in Houston Texas and yes he met "IKE"...or better known as hurricane "IKE"! He had quite the experience living in a stake center for nearly two weeks, bathing in the baptismal font with no hot water, and no power yet he still compares this to staying at a Hilton, I think it was his favorite part of the mission. Everyday they were bused into areas where they could serve the community. It is fun to see his face light up as he tells the stories of how grateful people were to have someone come remove the trees down in their yards, or cover the holes in their roofs. He said the first question they would always ask was "How much are you charging?" and you can tell it made the experience even better for him to be able to say, "nothing and explain who they were and why they wanted to help.

We are so proud of Richard and so glad to have him home, 2 years is a long time and 40 pounds later is a lot of meals we missed! We love you Richard-Welcome Home!

Bathing in the Baptismal Font? That sounds interesting!
I made my blog private. Did you get and invite to read it? Let me know and I will send you another one!
