Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year!!! Rob and I decided we would get one big present this year rather than a lot of little things so we decided on a TV. It hasn't arrived yet but we are looking forward to watching many fight nights on it, then Rob surprised me with beautiful pearls, a 6 foot strand and some earrings, I love them!!! Melissa and Richard slept over night Christmas Eve, and then we all went over to John and Brenda's for Christmas breakfast which was delicious, but the real treat was that Becky Bagley was there. She has been away at Boot Camp since October, and they gave her a few days to come home, so we were all excited to see her. Dena came down in the afternoon and made all the rounds with us to see Ann, and Grandparents. We love having her so close and are so grateful we get to spend any holiday with her.
Christmas Night was spent at my moms, we made it through our bawling session and then had a magnificent Christmas Feast! For those of you who are not familiar with our families tradition let me share. Every year you will find a name under your plate, when its your turn you get to gush about the other person and state why you love them and what makes them so special, it always ends up that we are all crying by the end of it.
Joshie got a storm Troopers Helmet from Santa so there are some fun pictures of that as well. We hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas and Wish you the best in 2009!

ANNA KATE

Sarah Had her First Baby on Sunday Dec. 7 2008, 6:54pm, 7lbs, 20inches long. She is beautiful, just like her Mother. It is pretty crazy to think that my baby sister is a mommy, but I cant think of anyone who would be better at it, except of course our mother, but that's a given. Congratulations Sarah Trevor and Bosco, and Welcome Anna Kate!

Two Week

Well it's been One week and some of the Puppies are starting to open their eye's. I am sure they weren't surprised at all to see the little helpers they have been hearing, especially Bailee her volume is always at 10 no matter what. The kids really have been fun, and Sage has been such a great help, she comes over and cleans out the box and helps the puppies eat. They each named one, Sage chose Amy, Bailee asked if she could name one Strawberry Shortcake, and Joshie calls his Razor. The puppies are getting bigger and bigger everyday, they need to start walking so they stop getting fatter and fatter.

PUPPIES

Dillie Finally had her Puppies! After nearly a week of sleepless nights, Sunday was the day. She ended with 6 total. 3 Boys 3 Girls, we thought she was done after 4 because she had those 4 puppies in two hours and then went about 5 hours without anything else. After Church we took her to the Vet to get an injection which stimulates Uterine Contractions and flushes everything out; well two more puppies came out with everything else.
Rob saved one, it wasn't breathing and we still don't know where the Sac or the afterbirth went, she just came out, Dill must have been quick on that one, but Rob rubbed her belly and shook her a bit and out came a bunch of Gross stuff, and now she is fine.
They are adorable and loud; actually they sound like ats right now. Dill is a little overwhelmed but being a very good mommy. So if there is anyone out there who is interested in a Christmas Puppy let us know, they go fast.
And keep checking back for updated pics because they just keep getting more and more adorable!

Puppies!!!

We will be having some puppies soon, just in time to sell for Christmas!!!! The kids came over the other night to see just how big Dillie is getting, which for her is huge, I think she is even beating Sarah out!! Sage has volunteered to help deliver the pups and I just might take her up on that she has done such a great job babysitting (thanks Bridget) them in the past I know I can count on her. There are some pictures below, some of which Bailee is screaming in, and in case your wondering why she was yelling at Joshie for standing too close to her! Then there are pics of Deva who is our adopted dog for the time being, she is beautiful and a lot of fun, and bailee is in love with her. She told me that even out of sky(who is their dog) Deva is her favorite!!! We will add some pics of the puppies when they come, should be Wed. or Thurs.

Welcome Home Elder Marsh

Well it has been a while since we have had access to the Internet so we obviously have not been able to blog and a lot has happened since our last posting but we will just pick back up with one of our favorite happenings over the last month or so. On October 21st Rob's little Brother Richard came home from his mission. He was serving in Houston Texas and yes he met "IKE"...or better known as hurricane "IKE"! He had quite the experience living in a stake center for nearly two weeks, bathing in the baptismal font with no hot water, and no power yet he still compares this to staying at a Hilton, I think it was his favorite part of the mission. Everyday they were bused into areas where they could serve the community. It is fun to see his face light up as he tells the stories of how grateful people were to have someone come remove the trees down in their yards, or cover the holes in their roofs. He said the first question they would always ask was "How much are you charging?" and you can tell it made the experience even better for him to be able to say, "nothing and explain who they were and why they wanted to help.

We are so proud of Richard and so glad to have him home, 2 years is a long time and 40 pounds later is a lot of meals we missed! We love you Richard-Welcome Home!

LAKE POWELL

Rob and I just returned from an awesome week in Lake Powell on his Dad's Housboat, which is gigantic it held 12 of us, of course I wouldn't expect anything less. We had so much fun just hanging out with his family. Melissa is back from Thailand so she was there and her cute friend Ali came with us, I have to say cute for fear that I might be thrown off the island if she were to read this!!(obviously an inside joke she really is adorable) So events for the week were Skiing, Wakeboarding, Swimming, Hiking, And it wouldn't be Lake Powell without "The Princess Bride."

Here is a slide show of some of the things we did, my favorite is the picture of Moe Wakeboarding, she is amazing!!! Also I love the pics of Rob on two ski's, for those of you who dont know Rob and his family grew up with a boat and all of them are very talented at their own craft, Rob's is slolom, so when we talked him into two skiing I knew I had to record it. Thanks John for the awesome week!!!

Twilight Mania

What a crazy weekend!!! Friday I stood in line for a copy of "Breaking Dawn" Which is the final book in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Series....I wont spoil it for anyone who has not finished it yet, but I did want to share the experience of waiting in line with a bunch of overzealous fans, it was hilarious to see all of these women dressed in anything from Prom dresses to Wedding dresses and even capes...where was that in the book? So I ran around and took some pictures for your enjoyment as well as mine. Also I have have included a video which inadvertently became a witness to a pigeon attack. I was filming the crowd at about Midnight just to hear the screams from the hundreds...yes really over a thousand people in line when a girl a few people in front of us looked up into the stoop and a pigeon crapped in her eye!!! Seriously! I didn't see it at first and my friends were laughing hysterically and asked if I had caught it, I told them if I did it was just by chance, and at the end of the video you will see a taller Blond on the Left just under the light look up and then grab her eye....What Luck... It's Hilarious!!! Also a Shout out to Carmen who was among those dressed up, I wished I could have seen you in your sexy Pink Dress I would have proudly displayed it here for all to see-I love you girl!!!

Battle of the Balloons!!!

Mindie was In Town Friday night so all the Girls that could (Mom-Mindie-Bridget-cute Pregnant Sarah and Myself)got together and went to see Mama Mia which is fabulous- We had a blast. It is nice when your closest friends are your sister's and even better when its your mom. The movie ended about 11:45pm and at 1am my mom and Mindie were in my drive way wanting her purse she had left in my car, I was up so no big deal. Mindie and her Friends in Idaho are always pulling pranks on each other, leaving refrigerators in drive-ways, Programing their garage opener to other peoples homes and randomly opening their door, silly things so we decided at about 1:30 to do something funny and Rob came up with the brilliant idea of filling their car with balloons so we headed to the store and bought 150 balloons and some window paint then with my spare key to my parents we broke in and stole Mindie's car keys. It took us four separate trips through out the night to finally fill the car. We were up all night because we didn't have any tools except for our lungs to blow the balloons up with so we would blow up as many balloons as we could fit in our car and drive over and put them in her car. On the last trip it was about 5:45 and getting light. Mindie was sleeping in the bedroom at the front of the house with the Windows open, My dad being a freak about the air conditioning had woken up and could hear the air on and knew the windows were open so He got up( its a wonder where Jared gets his obsessions?) to shut the windows and saw us getting into her car, only he didn't know it was us, so He goes back into the house screaming that someone is breaking into Mindie's car, Mindie wakes up and yells out the window "Hey Get out of there!" Then I look up and here is dad coming down the drive way again not knowing it is us, I couldn't help but wonder what he actually would have done if it had been people breaking into the car, he didn't have any weapons or anything, which is lucky for us because he is a concealed weapons carrier, but when Rob stood up he took a few steps back and then realized it was us. They caught us when we were just finishing so we got in the car and went home.
About 9:00 I hear balloons popping in my yard so I look out the window and see the kids, and Mindie writing on my windows, the two boys were on the side yard playing with the balloons and every time the would drop one it would pop and the girls would yell at them. I could tell the girls were having fun so we didn't say anything we just sat and watched them fill up our sauna and write on our windows, but when they started tying balloons on our car it occurred to us that we didn't want 150 balloons tied to our vehicles so we waited for Mindie to get into perfect position right in front of the Xterra and we set off the alarms on both cars, Maddie and bugs yell,"RUN!" and they all took off to there car. When we came out poor Jace was covering his ears and Mindie was still scared. We had a lot of fun and left them with at least 100 balloons to pop and get rid of- I guess We consider ourselves lucky, had Jeremy been in town I think we would have, one, been face to face with a shot gun at 6 am, and two, There would have been a lot more than balloons and paint on my car windows....I did get a call later from Mindie who wanted to comment that it was "Totally embarrassing" driving home with what was on her windows, which was, "Yep it's a Fart!" (drivers side) "I have more kids than teeth!" (passengers side) and " Yes I am speeding" (back window)....Anyone up for visiting us soon?

Twilight Series

Don't worry we are still alive and well. It has been a really long time since we have posted anything and I wish I had a great reason for it but I don't- all I Have been doing is reading the Twilight series- Now you are either cheering me on or rolling your eye's. If you have not read these books you need to. My friend Emily gave them to me to read when I had my surgery in March, I tried several times but just couldn't get into them, and then all of my sisters were reading them and even my brother-in-law, so I decided to try again and this is what I have gotten from doing so!

I completely ignored my husband and any other existence that was near me, I could not stop reading even while laying out I lost track of time-Good Books!!! And If you don't already have an Edward like I do, watch out you are about to be smitten...and oh yeah wear some sunblock!

Little Golfer and Pink Toes

It's been a while since we have had time to post. Mostly we have been busy enjoying the awesome summer nights at the golf course. We have been hitting a bucket at least three times a week and then practicing our putting on the greens. We are a pretty competitive couple so we have made it all into a competition, needless to say I have been consistently losing to Rob by at least 8 holes, it is really ticking me off but I think I am improving! The other night when we were there there was a dad there with his two young kids, his son was about 7 and his little girl was about 4. The kids each had their own golf sets but the dad did not have his so we let him borrow our putter. This little girl captured our hearts and we just fell in love with her, especially when she tried to carry her own clubs. As she loaded them up she nearly tipped over but a few steps backward and her dads helping hand were enough for her to catch her balance- We couldn't help ourselves so with her fathers permisson we snapped a picture - It just makes us that much more excited to have our own little caddies - hopfully someday soon!

Tonight however we missed out on our new found tradition and opted for minor surgery instead. Rob's foot has been bothering him for about a week and when I saw it tonight his big toe was bright red and swollen, so I made him go into the instacare to get it checked out, and trust me convincing him was not easy but after several promises that all they would do is give him some antibiotics (something that turned out to be a total lie) I had him in the car. As soon as the Dr. saw it she told him right away that she was going to have to cut into the toe and cut out the ingrown nail. For those of you who know my big strong and very brave husband you may know he is terrified of needles- so terrified that he has passed out and vomited at the site of them so as you can imagine he was not too happy with me and my broken promises. After seven shots, all in the big Toe, he was numbed up and the Dr. cut into his toe, even she could not believe the puss that came out! She cleaned it out and then cut out a piece of nail that I can only described as a bone fragment. This thing was as thick as the prong on a fork and as long as my first knuckle. The poor kid- I felt Terrible, but I will say he does look Pretty in Pink!

DeerCreek Reservoir...... COLD!!!

Yesterday we hit the lake for the first time in 6 years. Luckily for us, my dad had one of his mini midlife crisis's and bought another boat. Years ago, we would have a boat on the water at least 2 or 3 times a week. It was my dads favorite thing to do for his kids. And, it was always well received.

From the time i was a few months old, i spent at least one week a year living in a houseboat on the lake famously explored by the great John Wesley Powell. Whether it was with the Marsh family, or the Twichells, it was my favorite thing in the world. Its been 8 long years since I've been able to enjoy the beautiful,(sometimes eerie) green waters of my beloved lake. 8 years since I've hiked its amazing landscape. 8 years since I've been able to use a floating restroom. 8 years since I've been able to carve the smoothest glass on the planet. And 8 years since I've been able to see the look on my dads face that only shows at Lake Powell. And, its looking like this summer will be my homecoming.

Anyway, yesterday we hit the lake hard. We left my dads around 4pm, and arrived at the lake around 5.... what?....we didn't fill up with fuel?!.... Do we need gas?! After driving to Heber, we were on the lake at 6. The girls were already cold, and we still had the boat on the trailer. I wonder if 40 degree water would be an issue? I was the first in the water. Quickly, my "outie" turned into an "innie".... Melissa was the lakes next victim, struggling to remember how to breath... And then Bec jumped in...... the only time she wasn't screaming was when she was under water.... For those who know the chill of Moon Lake, this made Moon Lake feel like a relaxing bath. We were all impressed with the skills of our safety coordinator, Brenda, who handled that flag like a pro. And, of course the Captain, who seemed somewhat out of place without his trusty "FBI" hat, but still kept the boat off the rocks.

Till next time.

After Rob posted this I found this online while searching how cold the water was, it is reporting that it was in the 40's and here is what followed-
COLD WATER CAN BE DEADLY!!! Most people can SURVIVE ONLY FIVE TO 10 MINUTES IN 40-DEGREE WATER before succumbing to hypothermia. You never know when you might end up in the water. WEARING A LIFE JACKET NOT ONLY KEEPS YOU AFLOAT, BUT PROVIDES AN EXTRA LAYER OF WARMTH. The combination of additional heat and floatation might mean the difference between life and death!!!

WE MISS YOU BUDSKY! 10/21/24-05/31/06

It is not often that a man comes into this world and has a greater effect on it when he leaves but our friend Bud did. He was a beautiful person and we miss him, the world misses him. When he passed We felt emotions that I did not understand, and as I sat next to him holding his hand with my left and his head with my right my heart ached and I tried to think of anything I could do to stay off the inevitable. I was not ready for him to go but as he had told me many times before he was ready to be with his "Tweety" (His Wife). I held his hand and kissed his cheek, thanked him and told him how much I would miss him and a few moments later he was gone.

The day before he passed away Laura and I were in his room and he asked me to shave his beard. He had been in bed for a couple of days and so it was pretty long, I got out his electric razor and began to shave away, I got about half way and stopped as Bud was telling Laura about when he had first bought the razor. He and I were in the kitchen and he wanted to test it out to make sure you could use it without water ( we bought like 10 different electric razors non of which ever worked for him) So I pulled up my pant leg and shaved my legs with it at the kitchen counter, my legs were smooth- so he was convinced and kept the razor! After he told this story we all were laughing so hard he looked at me shook his head and said "Oh Becky-Baby" as he often called me, I had only made it halfway through shaving his beard which was not satisfactory for him, so he quickly reminded me of my chore by saying " Eh Um are you going to finish" and I did it took me a while, but I did.
The day Bud passed away I arrived at his house about 10:30am. We knew at that point that today was the day, and I was not sure how to feel but Bud had made me promise him several times that I would be there and so I made sure that I was. By the time I arrived Bud was in an unconscious state. He had not opened his eye's or spoken since about 4:00am. I sat next to him for the next couple of hours and just held his hand. At some point in the afternoon there were several people in the room and we were all exchanging stories and memories, I decided to tell Bud and my favorite story which involved me being pinned between a not feeling so well Bud and his bed, and we were stuck there until the physical therapist came in, trust me its a hilarious story, but as I was telling this story I could feel his grip on my hand getting tighter, by the end of the story everyone in the room was laughing and bud lifted my hand up to his lips and kissed it. It was the first sign in hours that he was still there with us and one of the last!
Rob and I talk about him often and all of the funny memories we have with him, all the crazy trips we took, and the different parts of the world he introduced us to. I often long to see him and I know that all I have to do is close my eye's and sleep in dream and he will visit before the nights end. WE LOVE YOU and Miss YOU!

Happy Birthday Robbie and Welcome to Utah IN-N-Out

Rob's birthday is the 6th of May so for the weekend the two of us went down to Mesquite for a few days and enjoyed some friends, golf, and Robs favorite, In and Out Burger. Our friends Julie and Balta live in St. George and so we stayed with them Friday and Saturday night. Rob and Julie go way back, they have been friends since high school and I fell in love with her the second I met her. She is an amazing woman and comes with an awesome family. Balta and I go way back to, Julie just doesn't know it yet, well until now anyway! The two of them were married last June so they are coming up on their 1 year anniversary, CONGRATULATIONS- We Love You
Guys!

Sunday we left and went down to mesquite and that night went to the spa and got some awesome massages, Rob of course says its not the best he has had, but he always says that, mine however was great! That night we won $400.00 on a dollar slot having started with only $20.00, pretty good investment. The next day we golfed 18 at the Palms. It was a beautiful day in Mesquite, mid 80's, and we both golfed well. Then Tuesday Morning (Rob's Birthday)we went to check out and head home when the slots began calling our names. So we each put in 20.00 and Rob won 115.00, Happy Birthday-we walked away with 500.00, our trip was on the Oasis Casino. Thanks!

On the way back home we stopped in St George and got pedicures, I love that I have a husband who is willing to do these things with me, he is awesome! (it was actually my idea -rob-)

Then, of course we could not leave without stopping at In-N-Out Burger, the first one in the state of Utah. It has been a long time coming. Rob grew up in California and In-N-Outs are everywhere, so I think for him it is not so much the food as it is the nostalgia.(best fast food burger period! -rob-) We had a great Weekend together. I love You Baby, Happy 28th Birthday!

Last night Sarah came over for some much needed bonding time. Sarah is Rocking to "Radar Love", Rob is Rocking to "Only a Lad" and My favorite, "Turning Japanese"!

Wintle Family Photo's-

HELLO
Finally I have found a little bit of time to write. I have been going through some files on my computer and have found some pretty great family photos and figured this would be the best place to post so that all can see them. Now if you or your child are not featured in this slide show shoot me an email and we will do an emergency photo shoot, or just be patient and as I go through more files we will find some.
These pictures range anywhere from Kailee's baptism to Bailey's blessing and trips to New York with a few of the girls. Enjoy!
